The past year brought many challenges, and it will be no different in 2023 We see that the general focus on new technologies, climate issues and the war for talent has not yet subsided. This has added a lot of conundrums at both global, European and local levels. How Antea Group is tackling this? Looking back at 2022, we provide our vision for the new year.

We cannot ignore that geopolitical tensions have created huge (financial) consequences within the energy landscape. The European Green Deal does not make that issue any easier for many companies and public administrations. And this also translates into local challenges, as we in Belgium are bumping up against the construction shift ("bouwshift"), the nitrogen ruling ("stikstofarrest") and high inflation. In addition to the European Green Deal, Flanders has now also rolled out the so called Blue Deal, an initiative that focuses on an integrated and sustainable water policy. In short: there is still a lot of work to be done.

All these factors can be the necessary push to make structural changes. They underline all the more Antea Group's role as guide in an ever-changing world. Companies, as well as governments, increasingly need a partner who provides concrete actions and solutions and guides them in their course towards sustainable, responsible business.

Purpose comes first

We keep our nose to the grindstone. And we see that we can no longer limit ourselves to informing, organising and representing. Increasingly, we find ourselves in a connecting role, on the same side of the table as our client. Partnerships, co-creation and participation are not empty words for us, but simply our way of working.

Over the past year, we have continued to invest in our people and our services. We see the results of this not only today, but also tomorrow. We call ourselves a purpose-driven organisation and we like to tell you a bit more about that in this video:

Our projects

We tailor our range of services to the current and future needs of the market. Our projects are future-oriented, always with an eye on sustainability and efficiency. So we launched our climate compass, a handy guide for companies wanting to make their processes more sustainable. But we did not stop there. All our projects incorporate our purpose:

As an organisation, we also want to make an impact on a social level. The STARTS4Water project shifted our focus: from customer demand to the needs of our society. And since art is, as it were, a mirror for current events, we were happy to bring that medium together with our scientific expertise. Learn more >

Ready for tomorrow's world

We welcome the new year with big eyes and a healthy dose of ambition. Currently, our organisation is in a dynamic phase of life. On the one hand, we see a growing need for our services. At the same time, we also see a strong growth of our organisation, not only in numbers but also in expertise. This is due not only to our cooperation with external partners, but also to our international and intercultural knowledge network of the Inogen Alliance.

As an ambassador of the Voka Charter Sustainable Business, we remain committed every day to achieving the European Union's sustainability target. On top of that, from 2023 we are also committed to becoming level 3 certified for the CO₂ performance ladder. So we are certainly not chasing our tail!
