The European Union collects vast amounts of data about our planet and its environment. Through its Copernicus Programme, public and private sectors get full, free and open access to help them improve European citizens' quality of life. And here comes in Water-ForCE, or Water scenarios For Copernicus Exploitation. The project – funded by the EU’s research and innovation programme Horizon 2020 – will develop a roadmap to better integrate the entire water cycle within the Copernicus services, addressing current disconnects between the user community and remote sensing and in situ observation.
