In very closely built-up regions like Flanders, depaving offers plenty of advantages: less flooding, fewer droughts, etc. The more water can seep into the ground, the better for the environment we live in, after all. Now, the local council of Duffel in the north of Belgium wants to do its bit too, by depaving the roads at the edge of the Babbelbeekse Beemden natural area.

From design to meander

We are proud to take on the whole design process, permit application and project follow-up. In addition, our experts will be responsible for re-meandering the Arkelloop brook in the natural area itself, on behalf of the Belgian Province of Antwerp. The project will integrate our expertise in road and water engineering beautifully.

Partners and collaborations

We are looking forward to the end result together with Duffel Council and all other project partners: the Flemish Government, Natuurpunt Oude Spoorweg and Regionaal Landschap Rivierenland!
