Climate-resilient infrastructure

Infrastructure is no longer just a technical discipline but a carrier of climate adaptation and landscape resilience. Climate-adaptive infrastructure creates space for water, nature, and future-oriented use, thus increasing the resilience of our environment at the system level. Roads, waterways, bridges, and sewers must not only meet technical requirements but also provide space for water, nature, and people.

Questions? Let's get in touch.

What is it?

Climate-adaptive infrastructure means designing large interventions – such as roads, waterways, bridges, and sewers – in such a way that they are resilient to the effects of climate change. This means providing space for water during peak rainfall, robust structures for drought and soil degradation, and smart combinations of technology, nature, and landscape. This Green Deal helps us anchor systems thinking, water management, and future-oriented design in every infrastructure challenge.

What do we promise?

Within this Green Deal, we focus on:

  • Making large infrastructure projects more sustainable, both water-related and linear
  • Using water as a guiding principle in design, construction, and management
  • Connecting technical robustness with ecological and landscape integration
  • Taking a systems-level approach, linked to policy goals and feasibility
  • Encouraging collaboration between governments, consulting firms, and field experts
