Climate-resilient public space
A resilient public space forms the foundation for a healthy, future-oriented living environment. It must be able to withstand drought, heat, and heavy rainfall. At the same time, it should not compromise on comfort, experience, or biodiversity. Even in a changing climate, it remains a place where people enjoy being. That’s why Antea Group is fully committed to the Green Deal Climate-resilient Public Space.

- Climate-resilient public space
What is it?
Through this Green Deal, we commit to making public spaces climate-resilient. This means transforming hardened, overheated, or water-sensitive areas into livable and resilient spaces. We reduce hard surfaces, increase greenery, and thoughtfully integrate water, shade, and biodiversity. And we do this in places where life truly happens: where people live, work, play, and move. From garden streets and school environments to parking areas and squares, this is where the climate transition becomes visible and tangible.
What do we promise?
Within the Green Deal, we focus on:
- Reducing hard surfaces in public spaces and encouraging infiltration
- Greening streets, squares, and parking areas with climate-resilient plants
- Integrating ecosystem services and microclimate into design
- Making climate adaptation tangible through measurable and communicative solutions
- Focusing on biodiversity, experience, and social cohesion
