On Friday 29 March, an important step was taken in centrally addressing green-blue challenges in urban environments. Until now, knowledge on urban water management and greening of developed areas was still very fragmented in Flanders. This difficulty is now being tackled concretely with the launch of the 'Atlas Greenblue Solutions'. As a specialist in green-blue solutions, Antea Group is ready to support this initiative.

A bridge between practice, policy and research

The Atlas Green-Blue Solutions will act as a central hub where information from different expertises and domains on green-blue interventions will come together. This will for the first time provide a comprehensive overview, giving policymakers, researchers and practitioners a practical knowledge base to address urban challenges. Besides solutions to water and drought problems, ecological, socio-economic and technical aspects will also receive due attention.

Various parties including Aquafin, VLARIO, Agency for Nature and Forests, Department of the Environment and the Institute for Nature and Forest Research will work together to shape the atlas with inspiring example projects.

Green-blue projects in the spotlight

As a consulting firm with expertise in green-blue solutions, Antea Group is happy to lend its support to this initiative. Curious about which green-blue solutions Antea Group has helped realise?
